Wealth should serve your goals, not become the goal itself
Who I am personally
- My choice to become a financial planner stems from my childhood. My strong sense of financial security was created by my parents who worked hard, invested and spent carefully. I want others to feel that same confidence.
- Not every personal financial decision in our family was a win: we bought or held assets that didn’t perform as we expected; but we never took risks that made us uncomfortable.
- My husband and I didn’t base every family decision on maximising our financial position. We also prioritised meaningful purpose and enriching our children’s experience, even when it cost time and money. We balanced things overall through careful investing and spending.
Who I am professionally
- I pursued the highest level of training available for financial advisers in Australia and am a Certified Financial Planner. This rigorous training was only a starting position and I upskill continuously.
- Although I have the highest accreditation for SMSFs (SSA), I will only advise a client to establish an SMSF if appropriate. I spend more time winding them up or convincing clients to avoid them rather than establishing one.
- I’ve worked for over a decade providing advice to medical professionals. If you are a doctor seeking advice on debt recycling, private practice benefits to your personal financial position, buying a private practice premises or your employer-mandated super, please reach out.

Our Approach
- We use an evidence-based approach to portfolio construction. We build portfolios around the drivers of return and are conscious of fees. A higher fee product must have an acceptable reason for its placement.
- Making financial decisions is sometimes emotional and not purely logical and we work within the boundaries you set. You may have a long time horizon and even if conventional wisdom says that a higher risk profile is appropriate, we will always be client-led on your upper limits for assuming risk.
- We charge a flat fee and do not charge a fee for assets under management. We want clients to know that a recommendation to direct funds to an asset pool is for the benefit of the client, not because we receive a fee from those assets.
- A diagnostic is important before any solution is provided. Our role is not always to provide a strategic plan. If the diagnostic shows you are in excellent financial health and you are likely to meet your financial goals, then there is no need for us to tinker.
- We’ll present strategic options to optimise your position, and we recognise that sometimes paying slightly more can provide simplicity. Ultimately, you choose your preferred path.
- If we don’t expect to be able to provide significant value over our service fee we will let you know. We want to delight our clients with the value they receive.
